Use Your Own Modem
Customers can use their own modem if they don't want to rent equipment from us. Just take a look at our list of modems that our compatible with CAS Cable Internet service.
*Some cable modems on approved list will not work if they are branded for specific systems/companies unless you purchase a
general release version. If you purchase a modem and it says it is compatible with, for example, Time Warner or Spectrum then these may be incompatible with our system. This is due to software loaded on these modems designed specifically for certain internet service providers.
*If you choose to purchase your modem, there are many DOCSIS-certified models that are compatible with CAS Cable Internet, but they don't include tech support. You may be responsible for troubleshooting device-related issues using the manufacturers user manual if we have confirmed that your CAS internet or phone service is functioning properly. You will also be responsible for configuring your wireless networks security settings, if applicable.
Reminder: Internet download speeds may vary and are not guaranteed. Observed speeds may vary by customer based on device, connection, & other factors outside of CAS Cable's control.
